Well, by now you have probably figured out the 'us' is really just me, Mike Harrison.
I came to Los Angeles in 1986 to go to Musician's Institute and quickly realized I was here to stay. I spent my first 10 years or so gigging around town and doing some touring as a drummer. In 1994, we found this house in West Hills. I built a little drum room in the garage for practicing. It wasn't long before I was tracking drums in that little box... A couple years later the practice room took over the whole garage.
Over the years since then, I have continued to improve and expand the studio. It's now a two room facility with a control room above the live room. The console is a classic that I've been slowly improving for a couple years now. There are some classic mics from Neumann in my arsenal as well.
When I'm not in the studio, I also mix live music as a front of house engineer for Herb Alpert and Draco Rosa. In addition, I mix music for broadcast for many clients including Live Nation Studios, iTunes, and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
